This is a blog post about a classic outdoor wedding at the Willows Event Center using green as white colors and features beautiful photos.
When you step into The Willows, you forget that you are in Lubbock, Texas, which is why I get excited every time I get to photograph a wedding at this venue. Nestled within Lubbock’s heart, The Willows Event Center provided the perfect canvas for this romantic affair. Set against the natural beauty of the outdoors, this classic wedding embraced the elegance of simplicity as the Cody and Sydney stood before their closest friends and family. The ceremony was spoken in a mixture of Dutch and English and was both humorous and emotional. The bride, Sydney, looked radiant in her classic gown, carried a bouquet of white roses and delicate green accents, created by the Cody’s Aunt who resides in Holland.
The lush gardens, vibrant blooms, and rustic architecture set the stage for an unforgettable day and was the perfect backdrop for their wedding portraits. Tall willow trees swayed gently in the breeze, adding a touch of whimsy to the atmosphere, while the carefully manicured lawns offered an inviting space for guests to mingle during the cocktail hour.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the reception commenced in the Event Center and Courtyard adorned with twinkling lights. The Dutch dances were one of the highlights of the night as the entire wedding guests joined the Cody and Sydney in the three songs that started with a circle where people danced in the middle, then a conga line that snaked throughout the Event Center and Courtyard, and finished with a line dance that seemed to go on forever and was such a blast to watch!
